ABC Officials Camp June 18-21, 2020

ABC Officials Camp is an education and skills camp for officials who have a wide variety of abilities and experiences. ABC Camp  will provide them with the individual attention to meet his/her specific developmental needs. ABC Camp  is designed for the  young Official  AND the experienced Official who wants to improve their signals and mechanics, their approach to rules application, court confidence, and game management techniques. This camp is run by Officials, for Officials, those who seriously want to prepare to take the next step in Officiating.

BACK FOR 2020- CREW CHIEF CAMP!!

ECBOA, BCBOA, and other high school associations have expressed a need in   assisting with  the development of rising “Crew Chiefs”. ABC Camp will offer personalized instruction to a limited number of campers that have been approved by their associations for this additional element to the regular ABC Camp program. Participants in the Crew Chief Program will receive a more intensified curriculum, and will work on a more personal level with select clinicians.

This is NOT a college tryout camp, however, several college Supervisors are expected to be in attendance throughout the weekend. This is an ideal tune up camp for those who will be heading off to collegiate try-out camps in the weeks following.

Why should I attend this camp?
If you are a High School Official who is looking to improve your performance on the court, ABC will give you plenty of court time with experienced officials working to identify weaknesses and  help improve all areas of your game. If you are a JV official looking to learn 3 man mechanics, this is the perfect place to get started. If you are a Varsity official who is trying to improve your standing within your Association, be it better games during the season, better Play-Off assignments in the Post Season, then our Clinicians will work side by side with you to prepare you to take the next step up in your Officiating career! There will be classroom and private court  sessions on Thursday evening with live games Friday and Saturday, and the camp concludes with the Big Camp Championship tournament Sunday .  We will also have additional learning opportunities through video review..  We will have plenty of  experienced staff to discuss rules situations, end of game scenarios, and communication with coaches and partners. Only National Federation rules and mechanics will be taught and used

Who is going to observe me?
Mark and John have called on a number of great Officials throughout Florida to assist in giving you a great Camp experience. All of the Clinicians have a great passion for Officiating the game, and a great  desire  to share their knowledge and watch fellow Officials become stronger and more confident on the court!!
